Nearly 40 brothers and sisters gathered for the Fireside Chat: “What Will It Cost You? Counting the Cost: Trusting God in Missions.” The session was moderated by COOS Missions HOD, Daniel Loh, and featured a panel of five experienced missionaries who shared openly from their journeys of faith and service.
The discussion was lively and engaging, with participants raising many thoughtful questions. Through their honest and heartfelt testimonies, the missionaries recounted how God had faithfully provided for them through seasons of uncertainty, challenges, and need. Many participants expressed appreciation for the authenticity, sincerity, and transparency of the panelists’ sharing.
A key takeaway from the evening was the reminder that missions is not ultimately about having sufficient financial resources, but about trusting in a faithful God who is able to provide for every need. Another important insight was the vital role of member care teams in supporting missionaries through prayer, encouragement, and practical assistance, enabling them to remain focused on the work God has called them to do in the field.
The evening was both inspiring and faith-building, encouraging many to deepen their trust in God’s provision and to consider how they can play a part in advancing His mission. We warmly invite you to join us at future missions events as we continue to learn, grow, and participate in God’s work among the nations.
